We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities include managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and advising management on financial decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, posting invoices.
- Verify transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger, etc.
- Perform regular reconciliations of the general ledger, identify discrepancies, and resolve them in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- The month-end closing procedure, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Calculating salaries and salary-related payments, including bonuses, overtime earnings, sick pay, vacation allowances, and applicable taxes.
- Payroll accounting and with it related declaration provision.
- Coordinate and lead the audit process, collaborating with external auditors.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Degree in Business Management/ Finance/ Accounting or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of pivots, v-look up).
- Ability to handle a high volume of information in a busy environment.
- Flexible and quick learner.
- Experience in financial reporting.
- Experience with financial regulatory reporting to authorities.
- Experience with financial statements preparation in IFRS (International financial reporting standards).
- Understanding of Lithuanian tax base.
- Excellent knowledge of the Lithuanian language.

Location: Our offices are conveniently located in Vilnius (Gynėjų 14).
Monthly salary (bruto): range 3500 – 4500 €/month. We are open to discuss different salary based on your competencies.
