The West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) will convene its 8th High-Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) and 23rd General Assembly in Accra, Ghana, from 15 to 19 September 2026. Hosted by the Ghana Revenue Authority, this year’s event will focus on “Building Stronger Tax Administrations for Revenue Mobilization and Sustainable Development.”

Bringing together tax administrations, policymakers, development partners and other stakeholders, the forum will explore how stronger institutions, regional cooperation, digital transformation and more inclusive tax systems can support sustainable domestic resource mobilization across West Africa.

NRD Companies will be represented by Jūratė Venskevičiūtė-Bučienė, Chief Growth and Strategic Engagement Manager, and Michailas Traubas, Head of Financial Solutions.

Drawing on NRD Companies’ experience supporting tax administrations and public institutions internationally, they will engage with tax leaders and development partners on practical approaches to strengthening revenue mobilization, modernizing tax administration and building sustainable digital tax infrastructure.

NRD Companies will contribute to Panel 3: “Strengthening Domestic Resource Mobilization through Partnerships and Inclusive Tax Systems,” taking place on 18 September, 09:00-11:00 GMT.

The discussion will provide an opportunity to examine how partnerships, inclusive approaches and institutional capacity can help tax administrations strengthen domestic revenue mobilization while supporting broader sustainable development objectives.

NRD Companies will also contribute to the Spotlights Session on 17 September, 11:30-13:30 GMT, alongside WATAF members and development partners.

NRD Companies’ client, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), will also contribute to Panel 4: “Future-Ready Tax Administrations: Digital Transformation, Innovation and Data-Driven Compliance,” sharing its experience and achievements from the implementation of the Fiscalization Data Management System (FDMS). Developed in collaboration with NRD Companies, the initiative demonstrates how digital fiscalization and e-Invoicing can support stronger compliance, more effective revenue collection and data-driven tax administration.

The Zimbabwe experience provides a practical example of how technology, institutional commitment and long-term partnership can translate tax administration modernization into measurable results. Read the full ZIMRA case study to learn more about the implementation and its impact.

Meet Jūratė and Michailas in Accra to exchange perspectives on the future of tax administration and explore opportunities for collaboration.
