As of April 16, 2013 360° Smart Consulting Limited has changed its name to Norway Registers Development East Africa Limited (NRD EA). In order to reflect the new ownership and expanded portfolio of the services that NRD East Africa will now provide, the company has started a comprehensive rebranding process, beginning with new name, new logo and new service offering.
Norway Registers Development AS (NRD), a part of BAIP group, has invested in the East Africa and acquired 70 per cent shares of Tanzanian company 360° Smart Consulting Ltd. on the 4th of April. The main purpose of the investment is to be closer to the clients of the East African region, where NRD has been actively engaged in the register reforms for the past 18 years and has recently started activities in the cyber security area. The change of the name was stated in the provisions of the company acquisition in order to emphasise the expanded scope of the services and NRD East Africa’s relation to the Norway Registers Development.
Renewed NRD East Africa will work hand-in-hand with NRD Cyber Security Center Team and its local partner SimbaNET to provide on-site delivery of NRD services and solutions which are in compliance with the needs of its clients and partners. NRD East Africa will assist organizations in the adoption of technologies that ensure business continuity and cyber defence next to its usual information system audit, IT security, advisory and training services. In addition, other NRD AS and BAIP groups’ services such as business environment improvement, infrastructure development and maintenance will also be available via NRD East Africa office.
In order to celebrate the name change, NRD EA is offering its clients free trial of QualysGuard and Qualys Online Vulnerability Scan. The scans will allow accurately checking client’s network, servers, desktops or web apps for security vulnerabilities. Organizations are encouraged to contact NRD EA for their free scan or use the links provided to access them online.
The security scan report will be provided after scanning free of charge and a more detailed explanation of the security problems identified as well as customised recommendations for implementing a cyber defence strategy at your company can be arranged later at your convenience.
