We are thrilled to announce that Developers’ Hub (D’Hub), a key initiative by our client, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Trinidad & Tobago, has been recognized as a Champion in the 2024 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Awards

Out of over 1,000 submissions and 360 nominated projects during the online voting phase, D’Hub stood out and was awarded as a Champion in the category “AL C6. Enabling Environment.” This category focuses on creating supportive environments for sustainable development through digital means, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The D’Hub project empowers local developers by providing the necessary tools and support to create innovative digital solutions not just for Trinidad & Tobago, but for the global community. The project is an ecosystem of digital technology, services, and support designed to:

  • Improve and expand local software development capabilities.
  • Encourage innovation and strengthen entrepreneurship in the digital sector.
  • Grow the digital economy and its contribution to GDP.
  • Develop innovative digital solutions for the government to advance the digital transformation agenda.
  • Create and support new career paths for citizens.

This prestigious global award is a great indicator of how important and unique is the work done by D’Hub, in the country and in the region. It’s worthwhile to mention also that D’Hub received the Inter-American Development Bank’s President’s Award for Innovation in the Public Sector, highlighting its commitment to innovation and the government’s dedication to digital transformation in Trinidad & Tobago.
