The Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry of Seychelles formally launched its Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Portal Project, marking a strategic leap forward in the country’s digital transformation journey.
Over a nine-month project timeline, including six months of implementation followed by a three-month pilot stage, the new system is targeted for full rollout by 30 June 2026.
A Unified Platform for Business Services
Designed as a one-stop digital gateway, the EODB Portal will allow businesses, local and international, to access crucial services, submit regulatory documents, and make payments through a single platform. By consolidating previously fragmented administrative tasks into integrated, end-to-end workflows, the system aims to:
- simplify and digitize core business processes,
- reduce delays and errors in approvals,
- enhance transparency in government interactions, and
- improve the overall business climate in Seychelles.
The solution will be structured around two primary user journeys:
- Seamless Government Services Journey – allowing users to complete multiple procedures through a single platform.
- Entrepreneur Journey – providing entrepreneurs with centralized access to guidance, resources, and information needed to start, operate, and grow their businesses with greater ease.
Technology Backbone Built for Flexibility and Scale
NRD Companies has been selected as the technology partner, bringing its GxP© – Customer Centric Service Delivery Platform built on a low-code architecture that supports rapid deployment of over 15 essential services. To support rich content and user experience, an Umbraco CMS will complement GxP, delivering an accessible and informative front end with updates on licensing, investment sectors, and business requirements.
This architecture is deliberately flexible, allowing future regulatory changes and process refinements to be accommodated without heavy redevelopment.
Reinforcing MIEI’s Mandate
Since its establishment, the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry (MIEI) has worked to foster an enabling environment for business growth, streamline administrative processes, and enhance Seychelles’ investment attractiveness. The EODB Portal represents a natural extension of this mission, providing a modern, digital interface to fulfill the government’s ambition of an efficient, transparent, and accessible business environment.
The Ministry believes that launching the Ease of Doing Business Portal is a pivotal moment in in its commitment to build a competitive, investor-friendly economy. This innovation strengthens the capacity of the many Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) to deliver services aligned with the expectations of both domestic and foreign entrepreneurs.
