NRD Companies is currently implementing “Mano Muitinė” (“My Customs”) Customs Services Portal – a flagship national initiative aimed at creating a modern, unified self-service platform for administrative and other customs-related services in Lithuania.

Commissioned by the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania and financed through the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the project was launched in May 2025 and will continue until April 2026. It aims to establish a single, user-centric digital gateway to all Lithuanian customs services – simplifying access, improving efficiency, and modernizing internal operations.

Transforming Customs Services Through Digital Innovation

“Mano Muitinė” Customs Services Portal will significantly improve the experience of customs clients by expanding the range of electronic administrative and other services, reducing service delivery time, and providing more efficient tools for customs officers. The project will:

  • Ensure that public information is visitor-oriented, accessible across devices, languages, and accessibility needs;
  • Provide efficient and user-friendly access to electronic customs services for potential users;
  • Enable customs officers to easily find the information and systems required for service delivery;
  • Introduce a self-service option enabling users to independently access and download data from their customs declarations as Excel files;
  • Employ advanced technologies for information publishing, content management, portal administration, and service delivery.

A representative of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, Deputy Director General of the Customs Department, acting as Director General, Vygantas Paigozinas emphasized that the initiative reflects the institution’s broader commitment to improving client experience and internal efficiency: “With the development of “Mano Muitinė”, our goal is to enhance the experience of customs clients by making administrative and other services more convenient and accessible. By personalizing digital content, we seek to reduce the time needed to obtain relevant information and access customs services more efficiently. This transformation – marked by simplified access and an expanded range of electronic services – will bring value to all stakeholders by reducing the workload related to consultations and information provision, while empowering users to act more independently.”

Advancing Lithuania’s Digital Government Vision

By implementing “Mano Muitinė” Customs Services Portal, Lithuania is taking another major step toward its vision of a smart, efficient, and transparent public sector. The project will streamline interaction between businesses, individuals, and customs authorities – reflecting the country’s broader strategy to enhance digital public administration and customer-centric service delivery.

Mindaugas Glodas, CEO of NRD Companies, highlighted the project’s significance:

“Customs Services Portal “Mano Muitinė” represents a key milestone in Lithuania’s journey toward a modern, data-driven customs administration. At NRD Companies, we are proud to contribute our expertise in building digital government solutions that create opportunities to harness artificial intelligence solutions, simplify access to public services, improve institutional efficiency, and create lasting value for both citizens and government employees.”
